Measurement of the whiteness, brightness and optical brightener in the pulp with the ER40WF. The new design measures directly in the 180° curved tube. This gives stable readings even when the flow speed of the pulp is changing.

In every process where recycling material is bleached and cleaned (example DIP production) the quality of the process has to be checked on-line to control the parameters. The ER50WF is an instrument which measures the pulp with and without UV radiation to determine exactly the whiteness or brightness of the pulp. It is placed typically after the bleaching process on a bypass around the pump. This ensures that the pulp coming out of the process will always flow through the instrument and gives good correlation to the laboratory measurements.
